“…and the livin’ is easy…”.
I’m pleased to be exhibiting three of my drawings this August at yumart, “a new art venture located in the heart of Toronto’s fashion and entertainment district, steps away from fabulous 401 Richmond and “art at 80″ on Spadina. A unique retro low-rise building, yumart is situated on the 2nd floor of 101 Spadina Avenue on the southeast corner of Adelaide and Spadina.” Thirty artists are participating in the exhibition.
DOLORES HIDALGO is a work on paper with resist, acrylic ink washes and pen. Some of the geometric shapes are arbitrary but the dark purple shape is a carefully-observed study of the core and cast shadows of an architectural feature from the town of Dolores Hidalgo in Mexico.
The Opening Reception is this Saturday, August 10 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Contact yumart at info@yumart.ca for information. The gallery is open from 12:00 – 6:00 pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
