Summer Workshops 2012

There’s still time for you to join us for a wonderful creative experience this summer! Spots are available for CHARLEVOIX, QUEBEC from July 15 – 21 and GRAND MANAN ISLAND, NEW BRUNSWICK from July 29 – August 4. Both of these painting holidays are confirmed and will run.

The Charlevoix region of Quebec borders the majestic and scenic St. Lawrence River. Our bright and spacious studio overlooks the lovely rural landscape and the historic island of Ile-aux-Coudres.

VIEW FROM OUR STUDIO

Charming villages and farms nestled in pretty valleys provide inspiring subjects for sketching and painting in watercolour. Marine themes are found at St-Joseph-de-la-Rive, a lovely village on the bank of the St. Lawrence River and the home of Papeterie Saint-Gilles, the well-known paper-making Economuseum and the Maritime Museum of Charlevoix.

Beautiful Grand Manan Island is still one of the best kept secrets on Canada’s East Coast. Your first view of the island from the ferry is the spectacular Swallowtail Lighthouse.

SWALLOWTAIL LIGHTHOUSE

Grand Manan Island is part of the province of New Brunswick but is actually closer to the State of Maine than to the rest of Canada. It’s fishing harbours and dramatic cliffs are a feast for the artist’s eye.
