Monday in Mexico!

We visited Plaza San Antonio today; a ten-minute stroll from our hotel. The approach I used with my watercolour demonstration is something I call ‘shape-reading’. I tossed my pencil aside for dramatic effect and proceeded with my brush only. Proportion may suffer a bit but it’s a direct painting experience and, although very challenging, most of the students gave it a try.

Another beautiful and very hot day in SM de Allende wound down with a group critique.

I really enjoy the approach you describe in your post. I am brave and jump right in but I am not very good at it.

I’m always inspired by your posts Barry. Love the buildings.
