LAMPS Week at Arts and Letters Club

Toronto’s Arts and Letters Club has a long and rich history. One of their most important traditions is LAMPS week, which celebrates the disciplines of Literature, Architecture, Music, Painting and Stage.

Yesterday, I gave a lunch presentation to the Club. The theme was my trip to South Korea in 2011 to participate in the G20 World Artist Festival.

I used PowerPoint to show images and was grateful for the advice I received from some of my students because I’m not very technically-oriented. Also, Chris, the technician at the Club proved to be prepared for any eventuality. Still, it was a relief to see that the images looked good on the big screen. All went well and it was great to see many familiar faces in the audience.

I’d  like to thank Keith Bagg for coordinating the event.

George Hume, a student of mine and a Club member, recommended me to the Club. That’s George in the photo below with Diane Kruger and myself. Diane is a former student and the current president of the Club.
